Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley while their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed an early talent for sports when she was in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She was able to see her speed-running potential at the moment. Only 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished 2nd in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. Then she attended college at the University of Southern California and was a teacher in the elementary school. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by taking 200m in 22.18 second. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was named the world's youngest champion for the 200 meter race. She was able to defend the title at the 2007 World Championships, defeating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at her first Olympics and in the Olympics of Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo regularly placing in the top three places in all her races.
