Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed a knack for sports early, and discovered her ability to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first time she tried out her skills, she placed second for 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. Then she was accepted into at the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set the new world junior record. Felix became the world's youngest athlete to win the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked in the top three of athletes at her particular events.
