When she turned age 21, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy full time, as she was able to discover her storytelling talents. Handler's professional career started as part of an all-female Oxygen television cast on the hidden camera/practical humor reality series Girls Behaving Unstably. Between 2002 and 2005, the show aired. The host began to appear on different shows such including Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler started working as an associate on The Tonight Show. Handler achieved her first big break in 2006 when she hosted her own E! show. The show was named the Chelsea Handler Show.
